Bardakci-Salmakis: The Bay of Bardakci is the site where the myth of Salmakis and Hermaphrodite (the double sexed god) took place. Presently it consists of a wonderful sandy beach with a wonderful view of the castle and Bodrum.

Bitez: A long sandy beach surrounded by tangerine trees, the sea is one the warmest on the peninsula and fairly shallow making it a popular spot families with children. Bitez is also a region popular for its water-sport activities.

Bagla Bay: Bagla bay offers wonderful camping facilities and a beautiful clear sea. It is also quite a popular place for Turkish visitors

Karaincir: Karaincir boasts of a 500m long fine sandy beach and crystal clear sea. The beach is nestled amongst colourful gardens and orchards.

Gumusluk: The ancient wine producing city of Myndos founded by Maussollos was sited here, although on land no traces of the Lelegian city can be seen, you may see a few columns and fragments of mosaics submerged in the sea. Presently Gumusluk is a quaint fisherman village where artists exhibit their work and a variety of fish restaurants offer a wide selection of tasty fish dishes and fine regional wines. With short paddle from the sandy beach, the tiny "Rabbit Island" can be reached.

Turkbuku: Turkbuku is a favourite of local tourists due to its wonderful bay with clear blue sea surrounded by orchards and colourful gardens. There is also a fine selection of fish restaurants offering fish dishes fresh from the sea.
